So the VIN tag number matches the title?
Someone at DMV messed up then, the VIN is a 1963 yet you say the truck is a 1965? If the title calls it a 1965 and has the 1963 VIN.... wow...

The VIN, as near as I can make out, starts with 3C144... so that indicates the VIN tag is from a 1963 2 wheel drive 1/2ton short bed pickup.

The biggest problem you are going to have is parts. Since you won't know what year parts are on it, or whether they are GMC or Chevrolet (and there are differences).
*If* you can, check the driver's side frame rail, between the motor mount and the radiator there *might* be a partial VIN stamped there (*might* if Chevrolet, probably not if GMC)
