Earlier trucks had black wheel tubs, seeing the markings on the firewall and the detail of the hood grill, I would say this truck is original. You see 99% of these trucks after repainted never having that center support and even the background painted black, it's one of those lost details body & paint shops never take into consideration because they don't take notice of it and Chevrolet never painted theirs black because that's the way it was supposed to be.
