Default 1964 3/4 ton Factory fuel filter leaking

I hope this is an easy one for somebody - I got my 3/4 ton 1964 GMC this weekend from Kansas and immediately started driving it all around town; but I noticed gas was dripping underneath, so I slid under to get a look, and its dripping off of a factory installed screw on fuel filter under there. So I am guessing it needs a new O-Ring or gasket and probably needs a filter for that matter, so does anyone know before I go looking whether or not this is an obsolete item (the filter or gasket)?
