Not familiar w that carb as I have the WW on two barrel intake. Could you replace your early single barrel intake to the dual and find the WW or even convert to the Holley? Maybe that’s something you don’t want to do? But it’s an idea if the 1904 isn’t that reliable?! My 2-cents
