Default 66 4000 rear axle bearings & seal #'s
Hey folks , noticed oil on my rear axle backing plate , so I went in to fix .
There is no stamped #'s on the inner bearing , I can see where that was some engraving at one time but that's it . Of course my seal puller got the seal right where the #'s for the seal are stamped . I have the # for the outer bearing it's
a 39590, but that's all I really have to go on . If any of you folks have done axle bearings & seals & hopefully wrote the #'s down they would be deeply appreciated .
66 GMC 4000 , 351 V6 2 speed rear end
I'll look for a axle tag tomorrow
