Getting the cancellation unit out was a bit difficult, I was trying to pry it out and it did not want to budge. So I carefully drilled a couple holes adjacent to the mounting tap, as you can see I wasn’t careful enough I went a little too deep, but when I checked nothing hit below. Adding a hole on the left side near the edge would give you the ability to grab it with some need nose pliers and work it out.
After losing the mounting screw for the unit and blowing the area out with compressed air, it was time to install the new unit. It slid on over the boss and the screw with plastic washer went over the unit to hold it all in place.
Horn didn’t honk when done, cleaned the rust from the spring plate, didn’t tighten too much and now it’s OK
Took truck for test ride, signaled left, it cancelled, came to corner, signaled right it cancelled,
That’s what I did for my truck today,
