That is correct Ed, the carb is backwards!

This engine was said to have come out of a Flxible Bus. I read they used various powertrains but an interesting fact I discovered was that the engine was in a cradle on rails, that could be extended out for service or change out.

I also wonder if the intake manifold is reversible or it had a carb base that was designed for flipping around. It looks like a magnum engine as well.
