Re: Carb rebuild
There's a full writeup with pics in my Cecilia thread of how to rebuild it (see my signature). There's a leather piece in there that cracks and gets worn out with age, or shrinks if it's dry too long.
You could also have a bad needle that isn't closing the gas line with the float. Those needles are just rubber so they wear too. There's a method of adjusting the float arm with a measuring tool, but I don't remember the particulars on it. I'd see if it works with a new needle and leather bit first.
Oh, and remember when you're torquing things back down that it's all aluminum so it'll strip out if you sneeze on it hard.
