The Eaton third member swap was very common at the dealership. Later in 1972 some 3/4 ton trucks with the automatic came with 3:73 gears. 20 minutes and my 68 C30 dually flatbed dump with 5:11 gears went from 40 top speed to 70 top speed and from 5 MPG to 15 MPG.
