Exhaust Suggestions
Just finishing up on 66 C-1000 with a 305E and Powerglide. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on an exhaust system. I am thinking along the lines of 2 1/2 in pipe with some sort of turbo muffler.Am looking for a low mellow tone. I would like to be able to hear the V6, but don't want it to be offensive or drone in the cab. Thanks for any help,Dave

A 2 1/2 inch system is fine, for mufflers I would go with Magnaflow. These are a straight through design and the longer the muffler the quieter, there are a few other brands like Borla, Dynomax And Bassani that offer similar designs, The old style turbo mufflers are more restrictive and have really become a thing of the past.
