Timing gear allignment
Hoping for some confirmation that I have the gears and chain on right.
I found two stamped "0"s on each gear. I alligned them so the crank gear has the 0 on top, at the 12 o'clock position. The cam gear with the 0 on the bottom at the 6 o'clock position. The point at each other. Not sure why the thumbnails post sideways. Did I get this right? |

Looks right. If you use a straight edge, center of crank, center if cam and marks will all be inline.

2nd that, looks like you found them. Number 1 cylinder should be at TDC if you need more verification.
