My brother came by to help me bleed the brakes, we realized that for what ever reason the OEM push rod was/is too short to actuate the new single master cylinder. We tried adjusting it out up to a 1/4" but that was still not enough. I wonder why the design changed?......

SO we found some 7/16th. fine threaded rod and machined down one end allowing for and extra 1 1/4" length, works perfectly. We also fired her up for the first time in about two years and realized that the Alt. fan blade is making contact with the shelf. so I need to get a 2" shorter belt to bring the Alt. inward. |

For the alternator you can get a double-pulley nut to put on the end and it'll keep the belt away from the fins. That's what I've got and it's nothing to swap out each time I replace the alt.

I'm interested to see the wood installed. That's on my list of projects soon.

Looks great.I'm thinking I should clean my garage after seeing your pictures., Sometimes I forget what is in the back of the garage, mainly because it is difficult to reach the back.
