Default Engine Color

Is there a readily available spray paint (preferably high temp) that is close to the factory GMC engine paint color?

I did look around on here before posting this because I thought I saw it somewhere before but I can't find it.

Thanks!

Tommy,

NAPA Brand- Martin Senior makes a Ford Engine Red that is the closest we can get to the factory color. Any of the stores sell it . I think it is high temp as well

Thanks Jake. I've read your entire build thread and that is probably where I read it before.

I want to 2-tone my truck and your build has been the best for seeing how it looks as I like the 1960 pattern better than the later one.

Also this paint comes marketed in Duplicolor #1605 as well as VHT, all along with Martin-Senior are manufactured by Sherwin-Williams. The Duplicolor brand is easier to find as most chain auto parts store carry it and the color is extremely close to the original GMC red that it's too close to call.

Good info!
Thank you sir.

I now have a NAPA very close to me since I just moved(one of the few things there aren't way too many of in the Las Vegas area) but their business hours aren't very accommodating so this is helpful.
