Dana 44 Disc Brakes?
Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of building my 65 GMC shortie snd would like to put rear disc brakes on the stock Dana 44 rear diff. Has anyone done this or know any specifics about what would work and where to get the parts if they're available? Doesn't matter if they are new or used from anything else, I'll work with anything available. I've been looking and can't find anything for our particular trucks. As always for Chevy yes and GMC no!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys, Jturk |

Re: Dana 44 Disc Brakes?
Funky61,
thanks for the info. I'm going to investigate both availability and cost of going with Wilwood and the part assembly options.. I already have the axles drilled for 5x5 and a posi installed, so only have to work on the brake setup.Have talked with Wilwood and they basically said their kit should work, but asked for some more dimensions to check fitment. Will update later with info from them. |
