Sorry O meant prior to 72 Chevrolet trucks using the V6 had blank covers with the High Torque sticker.

I'll buy that! I remember seeing 'V6' valve covers on a Chevy, assumed it was a '66 or '67. Then again, maybe it had a new engine somewhere along the way.

I knew a guy years ago that had a 1971 GMC TDH 3301 'baby' New Look transit bus with a DH478 in it. Valve covers were stamped 'V6', but the right side one had the oil filler cab right at the front. Never saw that valve cover before or since.
