Try the 6066GMCCLUB VIN decoder, new guy.
Click Jolly page at top , in blue band, and go to "VIN Numbers". 6066GMC members are the experts on GMC. You can trust the 6066GMCCLUB VIN decoder.

3/4T long bed, built Pontiac MI 1964-1966 6001-10,000 GVW
Vin Tag should be on upper door jamb for 1965-1966. If upper door jamb plate and GMC on grill not red, it's 1965. That would be confirmed by the Title.
If the plant started with 1001, yours is number 6918 off the line.

C was available til 1974. Unless you find a date code, don't know of a way to determine year. Assume 1966.
Your link is not hyper.

The 2476575 is actually a part number, you need to get the engine ID number off the block just below the right bank cylinder head but the only person that can tell you the year is Lewis Matkin.

butter, Jolly's old website contains the s/n's of both the trucks and many of the engines. An example of an engine S/N would be 305E330681 (which is my eng s/n). You can parouse these charts and see if your engine falls within the lowest and the highest sn's on the chart. Another way is to find the date cast on the intake manifold, and while it isn't as accurate as Jolly's year charts, it is a good start. I hope this helps.

Thumbs up Re: Identify Vin #

Thank you for the response guys. Unfortunately it just say 305c where I believe the engine code is suppose to be. The intake manifold says 11-3-63 perhaps it’s a 1963.

So on the passenger side, front of head, on a stick out pad, it only has 305C? and next to that there are no numbers? Did you wire brush the paint and grunge off?

That late in the year of 1963 would put it in the 1964 model year but if there are no numbers after the 305C it may well have been a replacement engine, either a partial engine as GMC called it which is commonly known as a short block. or a stripped engine assembly as GMC called a long block. Neither assembly would come with intake or exhaust manifolds.
