Spin-on adapter and possible auxiliary transmission/gear change
I have a 1964 gmc 4x4 with the 305 v6. Is there a spin on conversion for the oil filter canister? As it is now, the rebuild ended with the exhaust pipe directly under the canister. It needs to be removed when changing filters.
Also, I have a Brownie-type 3 speed over, under, and direct that would possibly work in the driveshaft line. It would be some work to do it. Obviously, a different rear end could be used, but negating the 4x4 (which will never be needed). Any thoughts? Thank you in advance. Bill |

Re: Spin-on adapter and possible auxiliary transmission/gear change
Welcome Bullhandy!
You will need to track down one of these factory spin-on oil filter units. They can be challenging to locate. You can post a WTB in the for sale section. Here are some links to Photo albums on the site to help you. https://6066gmcclub.com/album.php?albumid=147 https://6066gmcclub.com/album.php?albumid=63
