carb rebuild
new to the site. Have a 1960 GMC truck with the 305A V6. Looking for some recommendations on where I could send in carb to be rebuilt. Tried some local shops, nobody interested. Holley 1 barrell. Found a couple sites on the web wondering if anyone else has any suggestions. Thanks.

Re: carb rebuild
Yep, my suggestion is to do it yourself. It's not hard and there's a step-by-step how to in my signature. Super easy. My kid helped. It makes a good family project.

Re: carb rebuild
I agree. The stock Holley, if that is what you have, is quite basic.
The kit is cheap and should include instructions, all the necessary parts and adjustment materials. Go slow, keep notes and let us know how it goes. Ask questions if you get stuck. |
