Default Should I spend time on it?

I was gifted a 2T Dodge truck. Someone had put a GMC V6 in it. Is it worth taking the engine & tranny out to try and sell or should I scrap it?

All GMC V-6's have value.

Someone, somewhere will want it for sure, especially if it's a good running engine.

You mean keep the V6 and scrap the Mopar, right?

Thank you Funky61 for the welcome. I will try to post some pics tomorrow. I appreciate the answers. And yes, I was thinking of removing engine & tranny to sell together. Don't know where to post the Dodge. All the glass is intact & it looks pretty good.

Sorry it took so long to get photos. I really appreciate all your responses. Here is a link to the photos I took. I hope this works and that they show you what you need to know to help.

Many thanks,

Engine looks like its a great candidate to sell or put into a GMC truck. It has a newer belt on it so I assume it was running. Did you drive it to that location?

Nice Dodge and I like all the windows too. Looks fairly intact. What year is it?

Thanks for posting the photos OKsandrat-B!

Try Craigslist in your area. It's close to scrap because of where you live and condition. Offer it in the Marketplace forum.

This is a 1948 but it looks close and what might be someday. I like the two-tone color.

Looks to be a 51/52, 4 spd and 2 spd rear, someone went thru a lot of work to put that in there, looks like the clutch and brake pedals might be underdash hung, I see a master cylinder firewall mounted and Dodge's had theirs under the floor, I wonder if thats a GMC transmission or is it the Dodge, the GMC had a hydrolic clutch as the Dodge did not.
