It will run alright, but it will not be able to keep up with the two barrel versions of the BB V-6's when it comes to power output. It has been proven time and again that anytime you increase an engine's ability to breathe, you increase it's ability to produce increased power and torque output. Equipping these engines with a two barrel setup increased their ability to "breathe" more freely, thereby increasing their overall efficiency. If this was not the case, GM would have stuck with the one barrel Holley setup on these engines.
