Bed wood. Long fleet side
Finally getting around to putting the bed back on. Lots of discussion out there plus jolly’s page but I can’t seem to find anything definitive on location of the long through bolts with eccentric washers. If someone could post a picture of an original layout it would be much appreciated. Obviously it aligns with the cross member holes below; I just need a general idea of a factory layout. Attached are original pics from mine and rough locations (blue tape) of mine rebuilt. My original seems to use 14 bolts. Seems excessive and the kit only comes with 12.
Thanks, TJ. |

Re: Bed wood. Long fleet side
Thanks. That’s what I used for milling up the boards. Good site. I probably wasn’t specific enough. He gives through bolt layout for a short wide bed 67-72. I’m looking for 1960 long wide side. Kinda moot at this point. I pulled the trigger, ended up basing it on what I could make out from my old pics.
