My two 1963 Suburbans have the plate mounted on the vertical above the knee knocker bend at the front of the door jamb, and the 65 Sub has it at the top of the door jamb.

We have a 64 Above, a 64 on the B Pillar and I have a documented picture of a 64 on the A pillar. The A pillar and B pillar are Oakland, CA (HF). Which we know was the "closing" year and could explain. Currently our website says B pillar, as on "TJ's GMC".
Will try to get JAMES to state his Alpha on VIN. Also Kittimus please confirm "overhead" or other? Last edited by AZKen; January 12th, 2017 at 02:31 AM.
