I'll have to check my color charts, I remember GMC offered two different reds in 1966. 514 Red is actually a Chevrolet truck color that dates back to the 50's and was used up through the 70's. In 1966 GMC still had quite a few of their own exclusive colors but more Chevrolet truck colors were transitioning to eventually replace GMC colors, by 1969 all GMC exclusive colors were gone.

Attached is a new project I will be working on. I'm not totally new to restoration but have not done one in 40 years. I have a questions about the color. The attached photo is the original paint and it appears pink. Faded I am sure. I have looked at GMC paint samples over the internet and can not find anything close to this color. Any help? I'm new at this discussion and hope a photo was attached.

Sure doesn't look like a gmc color but cities and county truck could get trucks paint a custom color, good example are the forest service and railroad teucks

It is a GMC color known as "Palomino Tan" used from 1962-68 and when it fades it looks "Pink" Ask Dave "Rustynut" he calls it "Pink"!!!

Not quite, that Chivy appears to be painted in primer. Palomino tan was an exclusive color to GMC trucks, the Chevrolet tan was much lighter like beige. In 1960-61 GMC used Mesa Tan which was a bit browner and darker than Palomino tan though very similar.
