Default Re: After 5 years sitting running again! NEED MUFFLER

Hi guys! Well it's Oct 23 and she is just purring now!
I think the carb rebuild did a lot but when I turned the distributor it started to run sweetly and has stayed that way for a month on the road.

I do need to replace the wiper motor and wanted some advice. I replaced it once and it got wet and shorted out. Is there a wiper motor that is less likely to short out OR do I have to creatively use some silicone to stop water or???

Any way to keep the motor safer?
Thanks Roger

Your wiper motor shouldn't care if it gets wet. Are there any exposed wires or anything?

Is the seal between the wiper motor and the firewall still intact?

Here's what your motor should look like.

It seals around the motor shaft and the back of the motor, then the wires have little protectors on them too. Let us know what you find!
