I like the plywood idea! The stainless strips are all still good, so they can be re-used. Thanks to all for the suggestion. I looked into diamond plate 1/8 inch and the cost was near $1000. Prices have really gone up on that stuff.

I've got the engine, transmission, and rear end all re-sealed with a new oil pan, new transmission pan, and a new gasket for the rear end. I am working on the parking brake and need to align the front end. She has disc brakes all around but thankfully the ones on it are made for the lever style parking brake. The interior and exterior paint needs lots of work but at least I can drive it now. Her name is "Sparky"!
