The new pressure plate will work but the friction disc will not work. It does not sit on flywheel flat because the center spline extends out too far when it needs to be flush.

This sounds like the problem I originally had. Ended up using a new pressure plate but having my disc re-lined. I thought the Rhino-pac disc had enough clearance.

The Rhino-Pac should work, but you need to use the complete kit. Your original clutch disc is 11" and the new one is 12" I am not aware of a new kit that is 11".

Hi guys, now going through the same crap you all had to go through. Needing to order a new clutch kit for my 64 GMC. It has a 67 305E and SM420. This kit looks Exactly the same as what came out. Has anyone used it? There seemed to be so many yes's and no's I am now confused. haha If yes I am getting this one on the way as I wanna be back on the road. http://www.amsautomotive.com/AMS/Tem...8&KITID=04-528

That looks right. I think the big deal is to make sure it has 04-528 in the name and you're good. On mine the throw out bearing (looks like a drinking chalice kinda thing) was HUGE compared to my old one, and it had a grease fitting. But it fit and worked great.

That's a pain...TJ, would you post a pic of what you received? It's strange how some mentioned it works and others (yourself now included) say naught.

Did you get the Rhinopac or the other one? Was it 04-528?

Rhinopac 04-528. The nub on the flywheel side of the clutch was hitting on the pilot bearing hole. Ended up having to mill the nub flush and am hoping for the best. All this crap has gotten me sicker than a dog so I am going to sleep. haha
