Default 351E Exhaust Manifold Gasket Replacement

I'm in the process of replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets on my 1966 1500. The driver's side wasn't easy but I got the manifold loose with the minimum amount of misery. The passenger side I've removed all of the bolts holding the manifold on, except the back bolt. I've loosened but I have no idea how to remove this bolt. There is just no room. If I got the bolt out I don't have a clue as to how I would ever get it back in.

I'd certainly appreciate any help that can be offered.

2 ways that might work. First, try to loosen the last bolt all the way and see if the manifold will come out with the bolt in it. If that doesn't work, you might have to jack the engine up, remove the right motor mount, and lower the engine as much as you can. If your truck has a manual transmission, I would try the rear mount on the bell housing. Taking the mount out should buy you about an inch. I have a '67, the exhaust manifolds are not a problem, but the right valve cover is tricky. Good luck!

Bob, I appreciate your help. Since my first post 11/19/02 to Jolly I've found so many great folks like you on this site willing to help another. If you search under poster name of: Claude O'Tyson there's over 220 posting- Not really a newbie I've just been near inactive for a few years.

Back to the problem(s).

In addition to the hard to get at bolt problem I, in my dotage torqued the driver's side down too tight, cracked the manifold so:

I'm now looking for a diver side 351E exhaust manifold. Pete, Ed, Jolly and others?

I should have known better. At 86 I'm trying to get it ready to sell. I've owned it 34 years and it still has less than 100K miles.

You might get lucky:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/EXHAUST-MAN...nHiH&vxp=mtrT-

Looks like the seller has more than one. Check the part/casting number, 351E manifolds have larger ports.

I have no connection to the seller.

Bob: I had prepared an earlier message on your finding me the manifold but can't find it. I must have screwed something up or timed out. I'm in the process of relearning the mechanics of posting and replying.

I don't know how to thank you enough. Certainly I owe you a steak dinner if you are ever in Idaho.
The second of the manifolds shown was the 351E manifold based on port size and casting number. Two inch ports and casting number 2487598. I bought it!

Thanks to you I can now focus on finding a gasket set.
