This may not help, but I ordered a pair for my '62 K1000 several years ago from the Shock Shop in Newark, Ohio. They're Delco "Big D" shocks. I had to provide them with several dimensions from my old shocks so they could match them.

I made new upper mounts, but I think the eye bolt location was very near same as orig. Without the old shocks, there is an easy procedure to determine.

thanks for the response. i don't want to alter the mount so i guess it's time to start measuring.

My explanation said the top eye was in the same position as original even though I made a new mount.

So from reading this, I infer that no one knows by part # what modern-day shocks fit a 60-62 1/2 ton K truck? Good grief - I would have assumed that bridge was driven over by now by someone who wrote down a part #. Guess I need to get busy researching
