Default Replacement intake and exhaust spring set

I've put out a few feelers to both Egge and Kanter to see of the spring set is available, will need to wait till Monday......

I was coming home from a car show last week and the truck started idling really low. We checked all the obvious things and finally took the valve covers off to find a broken exhaust spring on the #3 cylinder. I had the spares from another truck, so we got her back together and running ok, but will most probably opt to change ALL the springs over the winter.

A friend mentioned that a Ford 390 Springs should work, these most probably will be easier to find vs. the 305 set, but we'll see.

Anyone have a new set they want to get rid of? I'd just as soon pay a fellow member vs. a parts store.

Thanks
Jake

Firepower is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Replacement intake and exhaust spring set

I'd measure diameter and installed height, and find an aftermarket item that is suitable.

The 972 set mentioned is here:

IMSLTHO, you don't need $100 valve springs...

I get a lot of parts here:

98411 would be my first guess, but measuring is safest.
