Default 305 oil pan gasket replacement.

Hello, this is my first time replacing a oil pan gasket on a 305. In the Felpro box it came with a rubber gasket, and 2 round oil camshaft seal plugs. I've never seen those before. Anyone have a picture or can tell me where they go? Also am I going to run into any problems with just changing out the oil pan gasket? I am losing about a quart a week. Need it sealed.

Hello Dipin;

I sent you those two links on the other board.

The YouTube link is part 8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFjm4W20gUk

If you scroll to 4:56 and you can see how the gasket sits and look carefully for those two round flat plugs that sit on top of the bolts on the crank end

Scroll Part 4 starting around 17:20 to see the bolts they cover (Part 4)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ieckq771rDU

I have never changed that gasket before but this helped to see where those two "buttons" are supposed to go.

If I am wrong I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Welcome and Good Luck
