Overdrive automatic trans
Can I update my 64 with a newer style Chevy overdrive transmission or do I need an adapter. What do you think would be a good match for an everyday driver with a stock 305E in it. I know there will be drive shaft modifications. Thanks

Hotrod:
Yes, you would need an adapter. Chevy bolt pattern on tranny won't match GMC bolt patter on V6 engine without an adapter. Regards, Steve New Orleans |

Here are the factory versions as well as the Bendsten's from the Jolly Site. I've seen them listed in the FS section off and on.

Re: Overdrive automatic trans
Thanks for the info on the trans, I called Bendsten's and I don't need different one than the one that comes with my truck. John
