Default Holley carb on 305e

I noticed when listing adapters for the Holley they don't show a listing for Holley adapter on the 305E. Is there any difference between the A,B C & D. I Have a 4412 Holley carb and need an adapter, Is the Mr. Gasket 720-1937 the right one.

John,

I don't know about the 720 part, but the 1937 carburetor adapter kit worked on my 305E. And the Holley 2 barrel gives a noticeable increase in power over the original Stromberg. I was lucky, and the existing spring and throttle connections worked with only slight adjustments. The existing choke cable could also be made to work. But routing it through the distributor wires bothered me, so I put in a longer cable from Napa and have yet to find out if the original handle can be hooked up to a longer cable.

I ended up buying the Jegs adapter. It's not installed yet bc i cant afford the holley, but it's supposed to be a better fit than the Mr Gasket one.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

You do not want an adapter for a 305a that is a single barrel intake.

Thanks, for all the feed back. Hopefully I will figure all of these different engines out.
