Default 305 Overhaul

Hello everyone, new guy here. Well, I have had a 66 GMC that I am looking to rebuild the motor on. The major problem I have had is finding parts to overhaul with. I have contacted Kantar.com, but they are limited on the parts they have in stock ie. pistons, rod bearing, gastets, etc.... Does anyone have any other companies who may carry these products in stock. thank you.

hi
having just redone my 305 one has to look for and wide for parts
if you need over sized main and rod bearings it may be futile search
I was lucky and got by with std mains and rod bearings
got the mains [old stock] from Kanter, rods [old stock[ from Rock Auto, cam bushings from there too, double timing chain and new crankshaft and cam sprockets there. there are some over size rod bearings now on ebay,
full gasket sets are available from Rock Auto
had to replace my pistons to 30 thou over, there are zero over pistons around in old stock, had to have them custom made at Aris Pistons California
cost a lot but worth it to not have to scrap the awesome V6
hope this helps

Thank you guys. Looking forward to getting this thing put back together, and on the road again.
