62 Stepside longbed Gastank

Does anyone know a good replacement for the gas tank? I want to move under the bed and out from behind the seat.
Looking at LMC they only have 63+ gas tanks for under the bed.
I was wondering if anyone has moved their gas tank and can point me to a tank that fits a 62 stepside longbed.

Seems like I remember a bunch of people get an old S10 gas tank from the 80's and put it in the frame underneath. you hold it in with straps like alot of tanks are anymore. Then you just run new gas lines. You can buy one already made for our trucks here if youre really dead set on movin the tank

I would love to move it, there is just something about gas in the cab.
I'll see what I can find about the 80's s10 and get back to everyone.

I have a 1963 stepside longbed and purchased the plastic tank (Blazer conversion) from "The Truck Shop" that goes under the bed and works well. The only problem is that you lose your spare tire area.

After 40 plus years I have quit worrying about the huge Molotov Cocktail 6 inches from my backside.
I always carry a fire extinguisher in the cab and figure the tank is pretty well protected.
There were a lot of trucks made that way and I don't believe I have heard of its being a problem.
