Not sure what Clark I had in my truck. I believe it can be figured out though by charts I have seen online, but 4th Gear and 5th Gear were pretty close to each other.

It actually changed the shift pattern when split shifting with the 2-Speed Rear.

The pattern was:

1L
1H
2L
2H
3L
3H
4L
5L
4H
5H

If you are using a straight 5 without a 2-Speed Rear, you may not want to use this trans.

Talking Re: Trans for V12

If someone has a complete transmission that would fit on this thing, that would be great also. I am not picky about what I am using, I just need something. Thanks for all the info so far.

My 478 came with a Clark 305VO 5 speed. I'm pretty sure the bellhousing is the SAE #2.

CoyoteRun has a V12 and might have some info on transmissions in his area. You might try emailing some people on Ebay that sold the V12s. Ive seen a couple come through in the past couple of months. Check out this guy http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Complete-G...6eb7b3&vxp=mtr

I sent a pm just now with a link to a classified in Great Bend, Ks. It looked like it might be close to what you need.
It's a long ways from you, but the V-12 stuff is hard to find anymore.

I used custom adapters to mate a 700R4 auto. Pricey, but works nice.

Good Luck
