Default Glove box spring location

Does anyone have any pics or ideas of where the spring to the glovebox goes to a 65 gmc truck. I have an assembly manual but can’t find any answers there. Any help or pics would be appreciated - thanks, Angie

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1960-1966-G...EAAOSwTM5Y3Au3 This is a really bad picture I found. This question has been asked at least 5 times in 12 years. I searched our archives and did not see any pictures. Just a lot of requests for pictures. This is a GMC only item, so can someone please post Good, Clear, Well lit pictures of the spring installed. This would help a lot of people.....or advise if we have it somewhere already.

My 1960 did not either so I'm really wondering what year had these or did everybody's fall off. The vendors say "60-66 GMC Only". It is not needed anyway.
The hinge/arms design changed mid era, I think. No mention of glove box spring in the 1960 Master Parts Book. Guessing it is a 64-66 thing.

Another photo from an eBay ad

This YouTube is for a 66 Ford truck, but it does give some insight on installation. I will have to go back and look at what's behind my glovebox liner.

On eBay listings for ford glovebox springs, there is a left and right-hand side. I do not know if the same applies for the GMC

Thought I would resurrect this issue. After sorting though numerous google searches with no answers I stumbled upon this bracket in my parts been. I noticed that my GMC had 2 small holes to the right underside of the glove box piano hinge. Turns out this bracket lines right up and bolts on the inside right side of the glove box door. It is used as the anchor for the other side of the spring. Hope this helps others.

Nice discovery! Also, that interior paint looks great!

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.
