Default Stock power steering hydraulic control valve

I just finished rebuilding the front end on my '63 1500 3/4 ton daily driver, new ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, pittman & idler arms, ect. ect.
Now i'm trying to get the stock linkage assist power steering up and working again, new power cylinder and pump, all new high pressure lines, only to find that the hydraulic control valve is shot.
Has anyone found a new or refurbished HCV available anywhere? I have found several for the early Corvettes and Impalas, the pictures I have seen look identical to the GMC but I cannot find any info about if they are the same part or will cross over.
Any info would be appreciated, Thanks

The valves are the same as the Corvette and full size Chevy. But what is it doing to lead you to believe its bad.

It's very easy turning right, good power, very hard turning left, no power. I popped the dust cap and adjusted the locknut to fully extend and then contract the shaft, the cylinder is working in both directions but when the ballance is set I only get power to the right, according to my manual that is an indication that the valve is worn and should be replaced. as I said before, everything else in the system is new.

I would dissasemble the valve first. It's a really simple little spool valve and a seal kit is available from napa. I have done dozens off these and rarely have seen them needing totall replacement. Barry.
