New Member 1960 GMC 4x4
Long time follower, new member. I have a 1960 GMC 4x4 Custom Longbed Fleetside with a 305A. She was in decent shape when I got her (out of Arizona not sure where she lived before that). Being where I am on the east coast (Philadelphia) I was concerned with rust control. One thing led to another and she’s been fully disassembled starting to piece her back together now. Keeping her as original as possible but planning for a daily driver. A few amenities may be added.

Nice start! Two questions, 1. What did you use for rustproofing on the frame and body panels? and 2. What tires are thooooose????

Re: New Member 1960 GMC 4x4
Thanks Fetch. Tires are power king extra traction 7.5-16. Paint is a little trickier to answer. Everything was blasted. Anything too large for my cabinet was sent out then taken to a body shop. Smaller parts I used rust-oleum high performance enamel.
Was just reading through your build. Having trouble finding a clutch kit and front motor mounts. Looks like site listed in the “get a brand new clutch” thread is out of stock on the 04528. I found an 11” that looks like it will bolt up but yet to try it. Throughout bearing is much smaller. |

Re: New Member 1960 GMC 4x4
I know for a fact that the rhinopack will work. I'm using it now. If you can't find one of those, you can get your clutch resurfaced at a clutch shop for about 30 bucks. They're in most all major cities.

Motor and cab today. Got a decent time lapse of the motor install but can figure a good way to post it.

Re: New Member 1960 GMC 4x4
If it's a video, post it on youtubers and then you can post it here by (if i remember right) using youtube tags with the video's number in between. like, (youtube)videocode(/youtube) but with brackets insstead of parenthesis.
