Default Trans and Engine Mounts

Hi, New to the forum (a least to this one) Can't seem to find any data about trans mounts..?

Looks Like Steele Rubber Products can revulcanize the engine mounts, but, any leads on the transmission..?

Haven't looked super close - VIBRATION as the speed increases over 30-35 mph.

**** I love this truck..! I couldn't really be much happier with it's level of originality and "character..."

I had a vibration similar to that. The culprit was a worn out carrier bearing in the middle of the driveshaft.

Do they look similar to these? http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/se...RWD&vi=1323481

When you search for GMC stuff, you sometimes have to search Chevy. Also these are often called rear motor mounts. I assume you have a 4 speed and a bell housing ear mount to a cross member? You can post a pic or two if you have the old mounts, so we can be sure we are talking the same thing.
Maybe these are close:

Welcome!

There is a real helpful thread (long) on the 67-72 Forum, which describes replacement of the trans and engine mounts. I believe he uses Anchor 2337 mounts for the engine and the Anchor 2107 and 2108 for the trans. Not sure these will work for your application. I also will be replacing these soon on my project. I refer to this thread often!!! Good luck! We would love for you to share your build with pics!! See post #s 55 and 56.

Thanks - Haven't looked that closely, but, I sure hope you're right...! I sell the ones you noted here, at The Filling Station - good quality for less...

Where in AZ are you..?

Kind Regards, Swany

I am working on a 62 V6 with a 4 speed. There are no transmission mounts. The lower engine engine mounts double as tranny mounts as they go between the bell housing and the cross member. Found new upper and lower sets at Classic Truck Parts # mm-22. They worked great
