Default 62 seat

Anyone sew up their own seat cover? Where can I find the original vinyl material? I want to practice sewing upholstery, and thought this would be a good project.

I don't think you'll find an old run of oem vinyl. You'd be better off buying a few yards off of an upholstery shop or Ebay. Just be sure it can handle UV rays and heat. I sewed up my own boat seat covers (also vinyl) and it wasn't too bad. I did have to use special thread though.

It wasn't hard at all either. Just make sure you order more than you need for overage and in case you mess up.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.

This company has the seat cover for the period, you'll have to have them sewn, but they have the closest.

Thanks for the input! I really have no desire for an original seat over, but would like to use original looking colors. I bought a sewing machine and have practiced on some small projects, so this will be a great experiment!
