Default New here.

Bought this 61, with a 62 hood, with a locked up 305. Then went a bought a 351, which I believe was a replacement motor because it is only stamped with 351.
It will be a process to finish, but I am in no rush.
I sure I will have questions. I do try to search archives first. So don't crush if it's been covered before, just bash away.

Oh, and before I bought this I didn't even know that big block v6s existed.

Dang, the motor picture is the 305.
I think I need to look closer at the pictures before posting.

Welcome Ironhead!

Kudos for sticking with the V6 and looking forward to photos of your 351.

Welcome to the forum, Ironhead! Sounds like you're starting your project with the right attitude -- not being in a hurry to finish. We'll help answer your questions whenever we can. You've got a '62 to '66 Chevy hood by the way, not a GMC hood. Turn signals are different. Congratulations on finding a 351 -- they're not easy to find.
