Default lifters & push rods

Does anyone know the difference between 351 and 305E lifters. I need a set for my 305E. Thanks, John

As long as they are solid lifters they are all the same for 305,351,379,401,432& 478 V6 engines. You can also use Chevrolet 235 inline six solid lifters.

I can't tell if all years are the same for the 235 but not all 235 engines had solid lifters some had hydraulic lifters

I believe the 60's 235 was hydraulic. That gen 6 cylinder I don't know much about. You could contact Tom Langdon @ Langdon's Stovebolt. com and he could tell you. 235's must have had awfully large solid lifters...I remember pulling one out of my 305 and that thing was huge!

I have heard that 235 1953 and beyond the automatics had hydraulic lifters the early stick shifts were solid, I think the hydraulic lifters from the 235 will work in the V12. I could be wrong. Bob

The 351 and 702 engines I have taken apart, both had hydraulic lifters.

What years? Is it the same 351 I got the manifold off of?

Yes, the engine was a 351M that the intake came from, and I had a 351C with hydraulic lifters.

Course when I modded the manifold I ground down the date stamp , but I think it was a 68 or something. Crap!
