Default '62 GMC K1000 Locking Hubs

For the last couple years I have been searching for a set of locking hubs. My truck has a Dana 44 closed knuckle, long hub front axle. When I bought the truck it had locking gears in the front axle. I have reached out to a lot of knowledgeable organizations and asked if they had a set of hubs and if not, could they tell me the make and model of a set that would fit. It appears that it is very difficult to identify the right hubs. I even paid top dollar for a set of Selectro 11001 hubs when I was assured they were correct. They disintegrated on first use. Here is my question. Is it possible that there aren't any hubs that fit my axle? Should I stick with locking gears? I have been told that the long length of my hubs is what is making things difficult. Does this makes sense to you guys? Is anyone out there running a set of hubs in my type of front axle? I appreciate the help.

I don't knonw what long hubs are vs "short" hubs but you going to have to come up with a parts number fro D44 hubs that will work. Even if we find some for you, you won't know if they work until you buy them. So find a truck like yours and get a part number and brand.
I and others provided a lot of info back in 2021 to you. Nothing ever came of it. Buy a front axle with hubs. Gotta be some still out there being parted out. Chevy or GMC 60-66

This GMC has well over $1000 in parts, are those your hubs?

Sorry to bother. I got the term "long hub" from a rep at Torque King when he was explaining why it is difficult to find hubs. I apologize if it is wrong and confusing. The purpose of my post, in part, was to do just what you suggested, find someone who has the same front axle and get a brand and part number.
