Default Hoist attachment?

Hey all, simple question... seems as there are several variations on where to attach the chains when lifting these V6s.
Anybody bolting a lift plate to the intake manifold?
Looks like the easiest may be to just use a bolt hole where the manifold attaches to the head (w intake removed and no lift plate), staggered side to side and front to back.
Looking for input on how 6066GMC guys do it.

Default Re: Hoist attachment?

I attached mine to the intake I believe. There's bolt holes there already right off the head. I'll have to look at it when I get out there tomorrow. I used a hoist and one of those load spreader bar things that let you run your hoist into the bar, which has 4 chains hanging down that bolt to the engine. I only used 2, one on the back right and one on the front left IIRC.

Some people are like slinkys. Not worth much but funny as heck when pushed down stairs.
