Started working on disassembly of the bed and upon removal from my 64 long wideside, found it was only retained by 8 bolts, 4 each side, 2 in the front two in the rear. This was the original wood too.
Upon inspection , I see 12 mounting locations, so it appears the factory decided not to use the 4 other mounts. I see most bolt suppliers only supply 8 bolts. Any input is appreciated here, I gots to know. Steve

Wish I could help but I put on a donor steel bed floor in my 1960 and don't have a way to check your question.
