1960 GMC Vin Cant Be Found
There is no title to truck or vin tag on cab. Been in family for 30 yrs but if I cant find Vin stamp on frame my uncle will have it crushed. There is no stamp on top of frame at steering gear box. None to be found on frame under drivers side cab. Help before this good ol truck goes to crusher.

Re: 1960 GMC Vin Cant Be Found
The VIN is located on a metal plate attached to the drivers side inner kick panel - so if you stick your head in the drivers floorboard area and look left, you should see it. If this plate is gone, then that is when you would need to procure a replacement from a donor out of a junkyard and attach it to register the truck for a title. At that point the truck takes on the identity of the truck you removed the VIN plate from if that makes sense. Some states will issue you a new VIN for a vehicle that does not have one - this is the simplest and most correct way to save it I suppose.
