Default NEEDED - Brake Shoe Anchor Pin

Hello everyone,

I'm in a jam with my 1963 GMC 4x4 Truck. My rear brakes went out and come to find out that my brake spring attachment Pin has snapped off.

My Master Parts Book refers to this part under Group Number 4.0170 Pin - Anchor, Parking Brake Shoe.

The original part number is 2358879. No other relevant numbers I can find in my Master Parts Book. These seem unique to the (Dana) Spicer 60 Axle. I have the 8 Lug Wheels and 12" Rear Brakes.

This looks like a large bolt that attached to the top of the Dust Plate and the top left and right brake springs attached to.

I have attached photos of what it should look like. The length from the tip of the Pin to the bottom of the bolt is approximately 2 3/4" to 2 13/16". The Bolt size 5/8" with 18 Threads. The oval area is 1 1/8" x 1 9/16"..

PLEASE anyone let me know if someone has one of these, or is parting out a Spicer 60 Axle that still has some brake parts on it, or know where to find one, junk yard, etc.

Seems to be the same part on G, J, N, S, and T year models with a Spicer 60 axle.

Any and all help or guidance appreciated.

Everyone have a great 4th of July Holiday!

Well, not going to find that at O'Reilly's. There are several available that would probably work but if you want original, you are correct: Junk yard, Swap Meet, Craigslist, Ebay or 6066GMCClub Wanted ad post. Does it fit into a square hole? If you get desperate and cant find one, I have some ideas. But that's down the road aways.
