Default Cartridge filter center bolt O-ring

Is it possible to remove the center bolt from the canister to replace the o-ring seal? I believe I saw one in there.

Also the new gasket from Wix 51121 is too large, about .100" for my truck. So I'll be making a new one. Mine should be 4.33" but the Wix gasket is 4.425"
