Good idea, while it's apart to change the bearings. Got to see some pics when you're done of that Alpine Green look

Thanks! I am painting whatever I tend to pick up and clean. haha Stuff has 50 years worth of grease and crap build up so the cleaning process is slow for sure. Hoping to deal with the water pump housing Wednesday and get that painted. Might do the fan and water pump pulley as well. Mains won't be here until Tuesday of next week so I have some time....unfortunately. haha More pics will be on for sure.

I know the rods and mains should be correct. I was lucky to find an old set of replacement mains. We'll see if the gasket set is right. haha May have to go somewhere else for that to. Hopefully not as I really wanna get this over with.

Got some new parts in yesterday as well. Timing set which included the gears a chain.

Rod bearings, oil pump, and gasket set(not pictured). Still having a hard time getting a clutch kit, but I'll find one somewhere.

Motor mounts should be here tomorrow as well as a can of vht high temp exhaust manifold cast iron gray paint.

The Alpine Green looks good, did you use Duplicolor? Did you know that GMC actually painted the exhaust manifolds in yellow
