Since nobody else brought this up, I figured I should do it. January 2025 marked the 25th anniversary of our 6066 GMC Truck Club. Michael "Jolly" Goodfellow from Honeyville, Utah, started the original website in January 2000. It's been too long ago for me to remember how I found out about it, but I was one of the first, if not the first, to sign up for the forum, and to contribute photos, documentation, etc. for the original website https://6066gmcguy.com/. The first photo that shows up on that site shows my old house with two GMCs in front of it. I still have the gray Suburban. Clyde in South Carolina has owned the pickup for many years now.
When Jolly was the "head honcho" he organized 5th and 10th anniversary "Jamborees" at his place in 2005 and 2010. In 2013 he turned everything over to our beloved Jeannie who has been maintaining everything for us since then. Thank you Jeannie! I'm not technically savvy enough to know what it takes to keep Jolly's original website on the internet, but I hope it remains available to us for many years to come. It's an invaluable resource. So check it out if you're not familiar with it! Ed

That is an incredible reminder Ed!
I am beyond honored to be part of this incredible community that Jolly started all those years ago. It is hard to believe that 25 years have passed since he first started things off with an email group to recognize an almost forgotten piece of history. Together the group has become something very special and it has been a privilege to keep the wheels turning from 2013 to today and beyond. Even if we can’t gather like we used to, the spirit of this club is alive and well thanks to every original member with a passion for GMCs and every new member that stumbles across the site to discover the rich history of the V6s. But also all of those in between that keep the spirit alive with photos, stories, and enthusiasm that is rare in a tiktok world. It is a labor of love, no doubt about it. The fact that so many of you still find the site useful and valuable means more to me than I can say. This is piece of history that the community has all built together and I am proud to be part of it. While my own health battles keep me from being here every day, just know that I am here often doing what I can to keep the site going for all of us who share a passion for these trucks. I doubt that the engineers that designed them ever imagined that 60 years later a rogue group of outlaws would be honoring them, much less drive them down streets when there were supposed to be so many flying cars overhead. The design was meant to be frugal, but it turns out that they built something truly different, that has survived long past when most of the other trucks of the time have needed rebuilding many times over or simply been scrapped. Thank you to each and every one of you for your time and willingness to share what I and others consider sacred knowledge – Your presence is what makes this place so special. -Jeannie 60-66 GMC Truck Club |

Here's a photo taken at Jolly's 5 year Jamboree get-together at his place in 2005. Rick Rusconi, former owner of the '62 pickup I have now, is standing on the right side. I'm kneeling below him wearing the GMC hat. My son Andy, half owner of the '62 pickup now, is standing behind me next to Rick. Jolly is the big guy standing in the middle. The second photo shows the attendees with their trucks at the 10 year Jamboree at Jolly's place in Honeyville, Utah.

Dang you guys got nice trucks! 25 years is crazy. I hope we're still here in another 25 years so my kids and grandkids can pop in and see everything I did and all the advice I got from here. This place should be put in the national archives!

HAPPY ANNIVERSERY 6066 GMC TRUCK CLUB!!!!!!!! i came on board in 2007-ish and have enjoyed this group immensely, and while rarely having a disagreement with some, hopefully have contributed to this group in a meaningful way. As long as the Lord Jesus leaves me on earth, i will continue to be here. Jeannie, i pray for your healing, and thank you for the job you have done.
